Recipe: Raw Bliss Balls

15 dates 

1 cup raw almonds or raw mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans, cashews etc)

1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds

1 tablespoon sunflower seeds

1 tablespoon desiccated or shredded coconut (plus extra for coating)

2 tablespoons of Pics peanut butter - crunchy is best

1-2 tablespoon of honey or brown rice malt syrup

2 scoops of Nuzest chocolate protein powder OR 2 tablespoons of raw cacao (or one of each is amazing)


1)      Place dates in a bowl and cover with boiled water. Soak for 8-10mins until softened. Drain dates

2)      Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until nuts are all crushed up and mixture is combined.

3)      Scoop heaped teaspoon amounts into your hands and roll into balls.

4)      Optional: roll half of the balls in remaining coconut for a tasty coating


Store the balls in the fridge and grab one on the go for a great little snack. The balls are also great stored in the freezer if you like an extra chewy treat!

These are great for a post workout hit to get your blood sugars pumping again.
